In this journal format “In the home of…” we’ll visit different friends of Poppel shop and ask them the same four questions. And what better way to start, than by introducing Poppel shop’s founder.
In a little townhouse charactarized by its high ceilings, large-scale windows, endless sunlight and spacious interior lives Nanna (30) with her husband, Mike (36), their son Aske (1) and the family dog, Villy.
Nanna is the founder of Poppel shop and is in the very beginning of her first entrepreneurial adventure.
What’s the best way for you to start the day?
“In the ideal world I would start with a good stretch and a glass of cold water with freshly squeezed lemon and a pinch of Himalayan salt followed by breakfast and fresh air as soon as possible.”
"It's difficult to choose just one, but I'm quite fond of my Per Kirkeby lithograph. I bought it at Louisiana in 2018 and I still think its the most beautiful piece of art we own. The color combination is just right."
"Don't buy something that will go out of style. For me personally the best tip is to stay out of the high street stores. I don't always manage, even though I'm more or less aware that the things I buy there will not stay in my closet or home for very long."
“Don’t be afraid of painting your walls and preferably all of them in one room. It doesn’t have to be a strong color, we’ve painted our entire kitchen and livingroom area in an eggshell white and I believe it makes a major difference when entering the room.”
